I'm a Kreativ Blogger ... by Cindy Beck

A long time ago, and in a land that's somewhere over the rainbow, Oz-Girl nominated me for the Kreativ Blogger award. I was staggered. I was stunned. I left a comment at her site thanking her for it, and it disappeared. I'm guessing a munchkin ate it! (Ooo, I'd better be careful or L. Frank Baum's ghost is going to haunt me for making such accusations.)

Then, in the past couple of weeks, Ali Cross and Nichole Giles nominated me again. I'm staggered. I'm stunned. This time the munchkins better not eat my thanks.

According to the rules of the award, I must tell seven things about me that no one knows. Considering all the games of tag that I've played, it's getting hard to dig up seven unknown truths. Or even semi-truths. So, in keeping with my warped unusual sense of humor, I'm going to give six true facts and one that's a lie made up.

The first two people to comment and correctly guess which one of the seven facts is not accurate wins a mini first aid kit ... great for the car, backpack, gym bag, or desk drawer at work. (Sorry, but family members may not participate in the contest. A a few of them actually know me!)

1. I met my husband, Russ, in high school at a horror movie.
2. My son and his family were once extras in a movie.
3. I learned to play the flute in college.
4. My favorite position to play in softball is outfield.
5. I've visited Canada.
6. My cousin-in-law is from Denmark.
7. My co-authored book of humor, Mormon Mishaps and Mischief, is due out in December.

Thanks again to Oz-Girl, Ali Cross and Nichole Giles for the award. And now, for my nominations ...

Bugs Bunny
Sylvester and Tweety
Pepe Le Pew
Yosemite Sam

(And if Pepe Le Pew responds, would someone please let me know? I want to know how he's going to answer the questions!)

What's playing in my head: Theme Song for the Bugs Bunny Show.

Creative Indeed. You deserve it. Oh, I didn't know you went to horror films in high school. Most of us had to go to the movies to see horror flicks. Well, except for, perhaps the drivers' ed films.

Wow! I'm going to have to totally guess here. You have Spielberg in your side bar, I've seen your grandkids-they should be in movies, you are full of hot air, you ARE out there:), I've never heard you say "eh", I could see your extended family having to marry outside the U.S., isn't everyone anticipating and rearranging their lives for your book release? Duh!

I'm going with Canada.

I have absolutely no idea, but I'm going to guess #1 isn't correct. Just 'cause I can't picture you at a horror movie. :) By the way, I thought this up all on my own, without reading the previous comment. Just don't want you to think I'm a copy-cat--unlike Pepe Le Pew.

Ahh. Letting out with the family secrets? For a small bribe I'd be willing to give out some not known info!!!!!!!
What are my offers?????????

I'm going to guess that you didn't learn to play the flute in College. Yep, that's my guess.

You're too fun to add a new twist!

Hello Didder, You are very creative in your writing and I am so proud of your achievements. You are so deserving of the awards. Thank you also for setting up a blog for breast cancer resources. I can’t believe we did it in a weekend. I couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks so much for sharing your time and talents. Hugs! Ma

Cindy,
Fun idea! I'm going to guess that #1 isn't true and I'll be quite surprised if it is true! :)

After reading the comments I think you need a hint. Cindy always liked to play where the action was in softball, but…she was better at one position than the other. Why do you think she cracked up when I was asked to throw out the first pitch at a ball game? Let’s put it this way, if this was the 1947 World Series, she would be substituting for Yogi Berra. But then again, in 1947, she wasn’t even a twinkle in her mom’s eye.

okay, so if I believe your mom's hint then can I guess again? It must be #4. Wow, you're a catcher? That is the only position I was scared of in baseball. I was afraid I'd get hit! I was the pitcher. :)

I didn't know you did the horror thing. Honey babe, we have even more in common. My kids say I'm one of the only moms they know who likes the undead.
Seriously though, you definetly deserve the creative award. You could get one in your sleep.

Sheesh-a-meesha, I DON'T KNOW! (And I thought we were friends!) All I know is that you aren't giving people your real name, Ramona, so you could be fibbing about so many other things!
I know some things that ARE true, and how could make up a cousin-in-law from Denmark? That would be too weird even for your mind!
The baseball clue may be a ruse, but I know you're physically fit, you walking maniac, you. That means you'd LIKE the outfield so you could run in to wherever the ball was aiming on the field and GET IT!
My first guess was the flute, so I'm going with it. You look more like a bassoon girl to me!

Shirley,
You are way off base (pardon the pun!:o)

The baseball clue was no ruse. I didn't make it up. Cindy's ability didn't lie in pitching, so she and her dad practiced and she tried out for the catcher.

You'll notice I said, "she and her dad." My talents don't lie in pitching, either, and I'm still practicing tossing a piece of paper into a trash can, in preparation for throwing out the first pitch at the Blue Crabs "Paint the Park Pink" breast cancer awareness night!)
